For many people, setting and reaching goals can be a daunting process, fraught with failure, lack of momentum, fear and discomfort. Sabotage, procrastination or boredom creeps in, old habits return and some people just cannot deal with the level of discomfort that transformation requires, instead choosing to stay with the status quo.

I’ve always regarded myself as a “jump right in” type of person, and it took me many years and many clients later to realise this is not a common personality trait. It sparked my curiosity and I started taking more notice and talking to clients to best understand what drives a person to bring see their goal to completion.

 

 

My clients and friends helped me to realise that there is a lot at play when it comes to reaching one’s goals and a lot that prevents you from getting there:

  • Failed attempts – You’ve tried many times and over a number of years to implement change or stick to a goal. It’s basically an issue of multiple, unsuccessful attempts that keeps you stuck over a long period of time (history repeating itself).
  • Change of heart – You become disillusioned, bored, lose momentum or hope/faith that you will reach your goal.
  • Fear – You are afraid of rejection, humiliation, failure, and the unknown, and prefer to stay stuck in safety and survival, rather than thriving – in other words, you will do whatever you need to feel safe!
  • Lack of money – This is self explanatory; you just don’t have the finances available to make the change or try something new.
  • Addiction to the stress response –  We are a chemical soup after all, and thrive on stress chemicals. Our bodies become addicted to drama, challenges, and we revert back to old habits.
  • Past programming – You are limited by destructive beliefs, including you are not worthy, smart enough, good enough, or it’s just too hard
  • Lack of personal accountability – You best efforts wear off over time; you have good intentions but because you don’t see results you stop taking action.

What’s Included?

The Six Weeks To Playing a Bigger Game online program consists of 6 consecutive weekly online classes, in a small, private group setting, commencing Tuesday 27th April 2021 at 7pm AEST. These classes will run for approximately 90 minutes and will be held via the Zoom platform (a popular and easy to use program).

You will also have access to a private Facebook group to enable you to interact with other participants in a confidential space.

If you cannot make it online at the scheduled time, a video replay link will be provided via email within 1-2 business days of the online class.
